Roberto Getuli
Rob joined The Standard Bank of South Africa on an accelerated training program in 1988. Wherein he specialized in all divisions of commercial banking.
Rob moved into private enterprise in 1996 as CFO of a manufacturing and retail group. He was head hunted by Nedbank later that year to join their commercial banking suite.
Six months later he was head hunted again this time by Citibank NA. Where he joined their emerging local corporate banking division.
In 2001 Rob left Citibank NA and started the RG Group of companies, providing finance, property investments and business brokerage.
Richard Gafney
Richard is a property entrepreneur with 15 years’ experience in commercial real estate, having joined RG Group as co-founder in 2004. RG Group is the leading commercial real estate company providing advisory, management and investment services in South Africa, having concluded multiple property transactions in South Africa, Africa, Europe and the United Kingdom. Richard oversees all facets of RG Group’s fully integrated platform, including investment sales, property management, underwriting, due diligence, finance, market trend analysis, and more.
After studying marketing in Cape Town, Richard started his career at Hunt Lascaris before moving to Ogilvy & Mather as an account manager. Richard accepted a position with Thulett Tokyo Forex as an international currency trader and relocated to Hong Kong. He later moved to the UK as a commodity trader before returning to South Africa.
In 1996 Richard started Indo China Trading where he secured the Unifood Agency for South Africa amongst other agencies. In 1999 he joined Citibank as a Business Manager.
Helét Lerner
Helét is responsible for PR and client management at RG Group. While she run corporate communications by trade, she is a people’s person at heart. She has a passion for building and maintaining strong, loyal, and symbiotic relationship with peers and business partners alike.
Helét has a degree in Public Relations with honours in organisational communication. She has 7 years of property experience both in the private and listed property sectors. She has significant retail experience across a range of sectors.
