Rob joined The Standard Bank of South Africa on an accelerated training program in 1988. Wherein he specialized in all divisions of commercial banking.
Rob moved into private enterprise in 1996 as CFO of a manufacturing and retail group. He was head hunted by Nedbank later that year to join their commercial banking suite.
Six months later he was head hunted again this time by Citibank NA. Where he joined their emerging local corporate banking division.
In 2001 Rob left Citibank NA and started the RG Group of companies, providing finance, property investments and business brokerage.
Richard studied a B.COM marketing degree at the university of Cape Town. He started his career in 1991 with Olgilvy and Mather advertising agency as an Account Manager.
In 1994 Richard moved to Hong Kong and worked for Thulett Tokyo Forex, as an International Currency Trader.
He returned to South Africa in 1996 where he joined a partnership called Indo China Trading where he secured the Unifood Agency for South Afrcia. In 1999 he joined Citibank NA as a Business Manager.
Richard joined the RG Group as a partner in 2004.
Greg’s career started at The Standard Bank of South Africa in 1987. He worked his way through all departments ending up in Management at the commercial banking suite. He joined Nedbank in 1996 and progressed to senior management in their commercial banking division.
Greg was hired by the RG Group in 2006 and has been instrumental in brokering various properties and managing their industrial portfolios.
Helét Lerner is responsible for PR and client management at RG Group. While she run corporate communications by trade, she is a people’s person at heart. She has a passion for building and maintaining strong, loyal, and symbiotic relationship with peers and business partners alike.
She has a degree in Public Relations with honours in organisational communication. She’d be the first to tell you, however, that the majority of her learning has come from her years of experience in retail which has armed her with a passion to help her customers – to make sure they feel heard and appreciated, and that they get what they need. She combines her strengths of being quick-thinking, problem solving and street smarts with her fervent “get it done” mantra.
